I've always been a big Harry Potter fan, and so naturally, I wanted to see the new Harry Potter movie as soon as possible! Casey isn't the biggest fan, but her daughter McKenzie is...so we were going to go see the movie together! I managed to score us tickets to the midnight showing last night! 10 of the 15 showings around Eugene/Springfield were already sold out when I was looking for tickets. And one of the theaters actually added a 3:15am showing to open up more theaters!
When I picked her up, I put my harry potter scarf around her. I made a whole bunch of them a few years ago for a Harry Potter movie premiere. I actually thought she might think it was a little hokey, but it was super cute, and she was totally into it. Before we left her house, I also brought in a cape I used for halloween one year that has a Gryiffindor patch on it. Fit her perfectly! I put on my Harry Potter glasses and off we went! (Casey has the photos with the glasses...haven't gotten them yet!)
I expected lines when we got to the theater at 11, but they had already let everyone into the auditoriums. We managed to get pretty good seats...and then just hung out for an hour before the previews started.
Smuggled in a couple of boxes of candy and some pop...it was a fun night! We left the theater at about a quarter to 3. I took a few hours off this morning to catch up on the sleep...but I am still a little tired. Awesome movie. I'll be going again :)
You rock!! She had such a great time and took a nap today:) Those pictures are GREAT!! I'll try to get the others over soon.

I cannot wait to go see that film. Hopefully this weekend! Glad to hear it was good. I just reread the book and I can't decide if that was a good or a bad thing. By the way am back blogging myself at the url below. Keep up the good work - Fid
